“Il principio dell’ambiente salubre è ormai radicato nella legislazione italiana e internazionale. Il diritto a vivere in un ambiente salubre rientra nei diritti fondamentali dell’uomo. Ci sono stati dei parametri fissati dalla Comunità Europea per quanto riguarda la comunità dell’aria e purtroppo non sono stati rispettati per molto tempo. L’azione è volta affinché i cittadini possano vedere tutelato questo diritto anche davanti giudici italiani”, le parole di Marco Tortorella, Avvocato di Consulcesi, a margine dell’evento “Liberi di respirare. Qualità dell’aria e salute”, organizzato da Consulcesi in occasione della Giornata Mondiale dell’Ambiente 2023. L’incontro ha visto la partecipazione di numerosi esponenti istituzionali e scientifici, tra i quali Fabio Massimo Castaldo, Vicepresidente del Parlamento Europeo; Roberto Monaco, Segretario Generale FNOMCeO; Veronica Manfredi, Direttrice della Zero Pollution Strategy della Commissione Europea; Pier Mannuccio Mannucci, Emerito di Medicina Interna dell’Università di Milano e David Korn, Dirigente Medico Pronto Soccorso Pediatrico e Responsabile dei progetti di Digital Health del Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli IRCCS. Nel corso della giornata, Consulcesi ha anche lanciato la prima causa legale collettiva sul tema ‘Aria Pulita’.
